The National Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel has published a new report this month, titled: “It’s Silent”: Race, racism and safeguarding children.
The report highlights important learning to inform practice and policies of safeguarding partners, strategic leaders, managers and all practitioners working directly with children, young people and families.

In November 2024, the National Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel published “I wanted them all to notice” to explore the challenges in the identification, assessment and response to child sexual abuse within the family environment.
The LSCP 7-minute briefing summarises the key learning points from the review and highlights the local support and resources available to help embed good practice.
Analysis of London Rapid Reviews
In February 2025, the London Safeguarding Children Partnership published their “Rapid Review Analysis Report”. This includes analysis of 79 Rapid Reviews undertaken by Safeguarding Children Partnerships across London between April 2023-March 2024.
Important themes are highlighted around neglect, sudden & unexpected deaths in infancy, extra-familial harm and suicide.
